September 24, Mission San Miguel (missionsanmiguel.org) celebrates the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel with its popular annual esta. Dishes for purchase include menudo, chicharrones, enchiladas, traditional tri-tip and chicken barbecue, as well as pastries, aguas frescas and local wines.
October 21, the ONX Wines (onxwines.com) Winemaker Seminar will take visitors into the vineyards for harvest, then into the cellar for hands-on equipment time, followed by lunch.
October 27–28, Tooth & Nail Winery (rabblewine.com) transforms into a haunted castle for the Halloween Harvest Costume Ball presented by Central Coast Live (21+).
November 3–5, SLO Wines’ (slowine.com) Harvest on the Coast Festival features winemaker dinners, a grand tasting and silent auction, and special events throughout San Luis Obispo Wine Country.
