Raisin Apple Harvest Gâteau

Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2½ cups sugar
  • 1¼ cups oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ⅔ to 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts

Instructions

Heat oven to 325°.

Grease a tube or Bundt pan, or 2 loaf pans.

Beat together all ingredients except for apples, raisins and nuts in a large bowl until well combined.

Stir in apples, raisins and nuts.

Bake for about 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
